Banner Art Auction
Join Garden City Arts and Downtown Vision for the exciting finale of the 2026 Banner Art Project!
Spend the evening celebrating local artists while bidding on this year's original banner artwork before it finds its permanent home. Throughout the project, these one-of-a-kind banners have transformed downtown Garden City into an outdoor gallery. Now is your chance to own one.
The live auction is always one of the most entertaining parts of the evening, as bidders compete for their favorite pieces while supporting future public art projects in our community.
Proceeds from the auction benefit the Public Art Fund, helping Garden City Arts and Downtown Vision continue bringing vibrant public art experiences to Garden City.
Complimentary refreshments will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.

Step into the world of storybooks! Participants will explore art styles from different author/illustrators and create their own imaginative artwork inspired by the stories they discover.

Art in the Park is back for its 58th year!
Join Garden City Arts for a full day of art, live music, and creative experiences in Stevens Park. This juried fine art and handmade craft festival features talented artists from across the region, offering original artwork, handmade goods, and a vibrant atmosphere for all ages.
Spend the day exploring artist booths, enjoying live performances, and participating in hands-on art activities. Whether you’re looking to support artists, find something unique, or simply enjoy time in the park, Art in the Park is a community tradition you won’t want to miss.
Art in the Park is presented by the University of Kansas.

Artist Meet & Greet
Join us at Garden City Arts for a special artist meet and greet celebrating “From the Seat of a Bike,” a photography exhibition by Kansas photographer and cyclist WenDee Rowe. Enjoy an afternoon of art and conversation while learning about the stories and landscapes that inspired the images in this unique collection.
A lifelong cyclist and explorer, Rowe has spent decades traveling Kansas backroads and communities. Nearly all of the photographs featured in this exhibit were captured from the seat of her bicycle, offering a personal perspective on the beauty and character of rural Kansas. In addition to her photography, Rowe is well known for her work with the Kansas Sampler Foundation and as co-author of Kansas Guidebook 2 for Explorers.
