At home in Kansas is a wonderful place to be, with mile high skies and sunsets that only God Himself could have created. However, there is so much to be explored “Somewhere Beyond” in the vast United States. The grandeur I encounter when traveling leaves me full of awe and ignites the contemplative and creative fire within.

The last 10 years since retirement have been a time of growth and refinement as an artist. During this time I have found my voice as an artist and become infatuated with the medium of pastel. The immediacy of color application with no need to mix piles of paint allows me a freedom I haven’t experiences with other mediums. I love to layer color and find wonderful combinations that work especially well when painting skies and water.
