Each month the instructor will cover basic techniques, offer tips, and give you a new challenge to help grow your skills and comfort level with the medium. Step-by-step instructions will be provided, but participants are encouraged to make modifications as they see fit.

These workshops are designed for beginners and are all stand-alone workshops. All supplies and tools will be provided for you to create one 8x10 inch watercolor painting during each workshop.

Join Garden City Arts on the 2nd Wednesday of every month for this special program designed and geared towards Pre-K children and their caregivers/family members. There will be a new take home arts& crafts project each month and LOTS of creative art games for everyone to enjoy.

This program is organized by Downtown Vision. Weeks hosted by Garden City Arts are FREE for everyone

Bring your own beverage and join us at Garden City Arts for a night of fun and painting! Participants will paint on a 14x18 stretched canvas. No previous art experience is needed as the instructor will provide easy to follow step-by-step instructions.

GCA will not serve refreshments during these classes, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Calling all Writers! Whether you are a published writer, compose poems or prose for fun, or are interested in how to get started, this program is for you! Once a quarter, Garden City Arts will host a writers meetup to encourage networking and create a support system so that you can pursue your creative endeavors.

While this event is free, we ask that you sign up in advance by completing the signup form on our website.

Please join us as we celebrate the arts in our community during our Art Social Hour and Annual Meeting! Stop by anytime between 6:00 - 6:45 PM for GCA's first annual Open House. During this event we will have refreshments, family art activities, and information on the year's upcoming programs. The Board of Directors and Executive Director will also be present to talk with those interested in getting involved with GCA. Information of volunteering and copies of our annual report will be available for anyone interested to take home.

Our Annual Meeting will start at 6:45PM during which the executive board will be elected and our annual report will be formally presented.

January is the perfect month to set goals for the year and to learn something new! During this workshop you will create a bookshelf that reflects your personality on an 8x10 piece of paper using watercolor and ink. Add as many books to your shelf as you would like to set your reading goal for the year. You can then track your progress and the titles you read by adding the titles with pen to your shelf throughout the year

This beginner’s class helps participants follow step-by-step instructions to recreate the painting of the month on an 11X14 stretched canvas. All supplies will be provided. No experience required.

Come and bond with your child while painting an 8x10 canvas masterpiece! The instructor will help guide all participants step-by-step through the painting process. Each ticket covers 1 adult & 1 child.
