ART IN THE PARK

  • WHAT TO EXPECT

    Art in the park is an art festival celebrated in Garden City, KS for over 50 years. Art in the Park is held on the 4th Saturday of June every year. Along with fine art and craft vendors, art in the park features live music, food and free family arts & crafts projects. Find more information by clicking on the links below.

  • ARTapalooza

    ARTapalooza is located in the north-west corner of the park and houses all of the children/family activities. You will find art inspired carnival games, collaborative art projects, face painting, and take-home projects for kids of all ages!

  • Spark in the Park

    Spark in the Park is hosted by Great Plains Maker Space and will feature several makers who utilize their space. Stop by to see their creations and see demos throughout the day.

  • Photo-OP Gallery

    Take a walk down our photo-op gallery and you’ll find numerous photo opportunities for the whole family! Strike your best pose as you interact with some favorites from art history.

  • Demo Tent

    Throughout the day we will have local artists demonstrating different art forms. Last year we had weavers, potters, printmakers and painters showing off their skills.

  • Food Trucks & Picnic Area

    Bring a blanket or set down at one of the tables provided and enjoy a wide selection of food from the food trucks set up along Hero’s Way.

  • Art Vendors

    A variety of fine arts and crafts made by local artists will be displayed on the East and South sides of the Park.

  • Performances

    Throughout the day performances by local dancers and musicians will take place in the bandshell located in the North section of the park.
