
GCA KIT PROGRAM
The goal of the 'GCA Kits' program is to provide art programming to children in grades K - 6th who have limited access to the arts in their classroom/home. Through this program local educators/parents will be provided with art lessons, some basic supplies, and select tools so that they can provide their students/child with structured art projects to help them engage their creativity and grow their art-making skills.

All teachers/parents in SWKS are eligible to participate, but supplies are limited! Preference will be given to classrooms with limited access to the arts in Finney County.

This program will run during the school year:
*September - December
*February - April
*Please note that kits will not be available until the 2nd week of September this year.

Teachers can choose between two categories:
Educational Art Kits - 2 project per MONTH during the school year that covers the elements of art and incorporates art terms/concepts and historical or contemporary artists. Each project will take between 1-2, 45 minute sessions to finish. These projects are specific to age.
Art Rewards - 2 projects per MONTH that encourage creativity while incorporating basic art terms and historical or contemporary artists. Projects take between 30 - 60 minutes and are not age specific.

All teaching materials provided by Garden City Arts are copyrighted and may not be shared without permission.
Garden City Arts will provide project instructions, art supplies, and select tools. Basic classroom tools and school supplies are not included.
Teachers/parents are responsible for using the kits with their students/children and picking them up from Garden City Arts each month.
Teachers must notify Garden City Arts each month if you have unused activities so we can accurately track participation.
All unused supplies and kit boxes must be returned at the end of the school year.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the end of the partnership.

Art pickups will always be the first week of the month during the gallery's business hours: Tues - Sat from 1 - 5 PM.
*Call the gallery to set up an appointment outside of gallery hours.
