GCA KIT PROGRAM
The goal of the 'GCA Kits' program is to provide art programming to children in grades K - 6th who have limited access to the arts in their classroom/home. Through this program local educators/parents will be provided with art lessons, some basic supplies, and select tools so that they can provide their students/child with structured art projects to help them engage their creativity and grow their art-making skills.

All teachers/parents in SWKS are eligible to participate, but supplies are limited! Preference will be given to classrooms with limited access to the arts and classrooms in Finney County.

This program is free for schools, non-profit organizations, and teachers employed in homeschool cooperatives.
There will be a fee charged for homeschool parents per school year: $50 (Free for members)

This program will run during the school year:
*September - December
*February - April

Teachers can choose between two categories:
Educational Art Kits - 1 project per WEEK during the school year (with allowance for weeks that school is not in session) that covers the elements of art and incorporates art terms/concepts and historical or contemporary artists. Each project lasts between 45 minutes - 2 hours. These projects are specific to age.
Art Rewards - 2 projects per MONTH that encourage creativity while incorporating basic art terms and historical or contemporary artists. Projects take between 30 - 60 minutes and are not age specific.

Teaching materials provided by Garden City Arts are copyrighted! Please do not share the materials without our permission.
Garden City Arts will provide instructions, supplies, and select tools needed to create art in the classroom. Basic tools and school supplies WILL NOT be provided.
Teachers will be responsible for utilizing the kits in their classrooms to help their students complete the projects.
Teachers will be responsible for picking up the kits from Garden City Arts each month.
All unused supplies and boxes must be returned to the gallery at the end of the school year.
If these guidelines are not followed, Garden City Arts reserves the right to end the partnership with the teacher/individual or organization.

Art pickups will always be the first week of the month during the gallery's business hours: Tues - Sat from 1 - 5 PM.
