Garden City Arts provides FREE art field trips to local schools upon request. These programs are available on a first come, first served basis.

An art field trip includes an interactive art project and art games if time allows.
PreK–5th: Students explore themed art stations inspired by historical artists with a read-along in our cozy book corner and a take home project.
6th–8th: Students enjoy a guided art project they can take home at the end of their visit.

Pre-K–5th: Art stations are pre-set and inspired by selected historical artists.
6th–8th: Yes! Students can choose from our available guided art projects for their field trip.

GCA requires a minimum of 10 students to schedule an art field trip. Our capacity is 26 students per session. Schools with larger class sizes will be divided into multiple, smaller sessions.

Yes, but we ask parents to sit in the parent seating area so that children can enjoy the projects with their class. Space inside the gallery is limited!
We ask that parents are respectful during their visit. Please take phone calls outside of the gallery as to not interupt the children’s experience. If younger sibling are attending, they must be watched by the parent at all times.

Art field trips are FREE for all school groups for children ages K-8. Free programming only include the cirriculumn shown below. We are unable to provide custom projects at this time.

Due to demand and limited availability, Garden City Arts will only provide one art field trip per classroom per school year.
